Located in the Palm Beaches, The Fine Arts Conservancy is a leading conservation and restoration center.
The Fine Arts Conservancy’s international reputation in the conservation world is such that we can bring to the table an extensive network of the world’s top experts when needed for your project.
All work is conducted with adherence to the Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice of the American Institute for Conservation. Respect for the integrity of the artwork remains paramount.
With over 5000 square feet of modern, well-equipped laboratories in West Palm Beach, FAC is one of the mostly highly regarded facilities in the country. Although largely known for work at the masterpiece level, we do not hesitate to work on any piece, which may only be dear to its owner. We are noted for our commitment to excellence. There are separate labs for sculpture and objects conservation, painting conservation, paper conservation, framing, furniture, textiles and diagnostic and technical examination. We also restore, conserve and maintain outdoor sculpture.
Because of our reputation for quality, works are sent to us from throughout North America, South America and Europe. Among the 47 museums we have served nationally and internationally, are The National Gallery and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, both of whom recommend us. We have been retained for major projects in Hawaii, London, the Republic of China, and other international venues.
With our demanding standards for excellence we have been awarded coveted positions with AIG, Fireman’s Fund, Chubb and the other major insurance carriers as preferred service providers. As premier global insurers of fine arts, their professional recommendation to their clients is a measurable demonstration of their confidence in and high regard for the Fine Arts Conservancy.
Please see Conservation Services for examples of our work. There are views of our laboratories and some of the interesting pieces we have had the pleasure of conserving.
